Airport Shuttle in Spain

If you do not want the hassle of a car hire when you arrive at your holiday destination in Spain you should consider and airport shuttle. Nearly all airports will offer some sort of shuttle bus service. When you arrive in Spain and go through customs and passport control you will go through into the arrivals hall which usually has a local information desk which will be able to give you details of local hotels and airport shuttles. This information desk should be able to point you in the right direction to arrange your airport shuttle into the local town and many of the larger hotels. Many airport shuttles pick up right outside the airport and you pay the driver when you board the airport shuttle bus. The cost of this type of shuttle bus is usually alot less than a private taxi transfer. The only downside to this type of airport shuttle service is that you may have to wait while for the shuttle to fill up and possibly drive around to other airport terminals, if it is a large airport and pick up passengers along the way. Also when you arrive into the local town you may have to make numerous stops dropping off and picking up passengers along the way. This can be very time consuming and tedious if you have had a long flight during that day. If time is not a problem this type of airport shuttle may well work well for you. Whilst you are picking up and dropping off other passegers it will give you the chance to see the local area and to get a feel for the type of place you will be staying. The cost of this type of shuttle can be considerably less, due to this inconvenience. Many of the larger hotels offer their own private airport shuttle service for guests who are staying in the hotel. It would be worth checking with your hotel prior to departure to find out whether they offer this sort of service. When you have finished your holiday and are ready to return to the airport to catch your flight home you should check with the information desk or concierge to see if the airport shuttle offers a regular pick up service or whether you have to pre book your return journey to the airport. Many hotels will make the booking for you and let you have a timetable of when the shuttle will make its hotel pick up enroute to the airport. Holiday Taxis Holiday taxis offer a similar service to Resort Hoppa, their prices are based on the type of vehicle which is used. Again it depends on the size of your group as to how much money you may save; take a look at their booking system to see how you fare. They also offer a premier service for any one who wishes to travel in luxury. Holiday Taxis are also taking a ‘greener’ stance regarding vehicle emissions; this allows you to off set your carbon footprint for a small fee. Transfers We find that it is very often the case that a car hire works out less expensive than a pre booked taxi or coach transfer. This will allow you to check the best price option for your journey. Resort Hoppa Resort Hoppa offer very competitive private transfers which can accommodate extremely large groups; even up to 55 people on a coach. Resort Hoppa rates are based on the size of vehicle used. For example they will charge the same rate if your group is 2 or 4 persons as the car used to accommodate you will be the same vehicle. They definitely represent the cheapest options if you are travelling in a suitably sized group; so check their booking engine to see if your party could save money. You might find them less competitive if you are travelling as a couple.
