Bournemouth from London The Easy Way
Travelling to Bournemouth from London is easy. There are many ways you can reach Bournemouth, such as using public transportation or driving your own vehicle. Of course, with so many ways to travel to Bournemouth, you can consider your budget, the convenience and how comfortable you are with each mode of transportation before you leave London. If you are living in London, perhaps the best way to travel is by car but if you are a tourist, the car might not be appropriate – so it is time to look at other options. First of all, you can travel by bus. There are several operators serving the council supported bus routes to Bournemouth. The operators are Yellow Buses, Wilts and Dorset, Shaftesbury and District, First Group and Shamrock Buses. Apart from buses, perhaps you want to try the taxis. There are many taxis, usually in yellow, available 24 hours. While buses are cheaper than taxis considering the comfort a taxi provide, if you have more to spend, taxi would be better – as well as being faster than buses. If you want to travel a more comfortable journey, coach is the choice for you. Check out the National Express Coach for connections to the Bournemouth Travel Interchange, or Megabus for routes to Bournemouth University and other locations. The best thing about National Express Coach is that you can get not only coach services, but buses, trains and even airport transfers. As for Megabus, you can get quite cheap fares for different routes. Starting at one Pound, who doesn’t want a ride? Bournemouth is well connected with rail tracks, so travelling to Bournemouth using rail is a good option as well. It is also for those who enjoy a quiet and more comfortable journey. You can check the National Rail Enquiries for information on arrivals and departures of trains to Bournemouth. Usually the trains are on time, unless otherwise stated. Trains are fast and more comfortable than any other mode of transportation (apart from flights) and cost slightly more than buses and taxis. If you take the PLUSBUS, you are entitled for unlimited bus rides in Bournemouth. PLUSBUS is the latest integration between rail and bus services. When you take the train to Bournemouth, you are entitled for free bus rides for the day in Bournemouth, Poole and the Christchurch area. This is a better option since you get to save more money on the transportation. Tourists will love this option, since this is the way to save money for travel. Last but not least, you can travel to Bournemouth via plane. Flight is probably the best way to travel – but then again the downside is you cannot enjoy the beautiful scenery along the journey and it might cost even more. Bournemouth International Airport is located just ten minutes away from the Bournemouth town centre. However, Heathrow and Gatwick are easily accessed using cars as they are located nearby, so you have more choices depending on which is more suited to your journey.
