Taxis don’t have car seats so you should carry one with you. Consider getting the kind of car seat that locks into the stroller, because you’ll probably want to bring the stroller with you anyway. Most places in NYC are accessible by subway and by walking, so I’m sure you’ll be pushing the stroller around quite a bit.

Taxis don’t have car seats for children and it would be extremely cumbersome to carry around a car seat. So, either use public transportation with your child’s stroller (NYC has a great public transporation system), or buy a stroller/car seat combination. I have a friend with a three year old and she swears by the SitNStroll.
