@traceychris1979 what utter arse gravy…not too mention slightly racist.

Do your homework and realise this guy is no fool.

Fools tend to generalise….recognise anyone who does that?

Isn’t it true that the string theory predicts the existence of particles faster than light itself? These particles were given the name of tachyon. Isn’t possible that neutrinos and tachyons are the same particles? Isn’t possible that neutrinos are not affected by time-space dilation? If this was to be true, the neutrinos would seem to travel way faster than light closer to a star or a black hole.

einstein was a human scientist.. therefore he was an idiot.

@traceychris1979 He does know his stuff ! He is a Professor in Particle Physics at the University of Manchester. He also works on experiments at Geneva! So he is far from a clueless presenter…

this guy is ok but thats about it!!! he basically is a frontman to represent science for the bbc, you will notic when he does his shows he reads from script!!
he is typical western scientist that cant go out o fhis box, ask him a straight question and he will always have a typical negative response

Proof the speed of light is not constant for all observers.

Haha, didn’t Sam Whitwhikkey in Transformers2 speak of this exact theory of extra dimensions not being taken into account by Einstein??/ hahahahaha

@biggavdemille The old “Fiat syndrome” – the engine and drivetrain can run forever, but all switches and handles and whatever falls apart hehe.

Did not realize the “receiving” station was Italian ! that’s the problem – dodgy electricals they can not get the indicators or blue-tooth working on my mates Alfa and the ignition on my Ducati is rubbish , have they tried a Samsung Neutrino detector ? i think it takes 2 years to turn it off and on again , that’s slightly slower than the Samsung remote for my TV.

Information travels faster than light, we just can’t prove it yet.

turn the machine off then back on works for most things which aren’t working

Looking at all the neutrino vs speed videos/blogs i cannot find any talk of the possibility of the neutrinos been affected by the increased gravitation due to them traveling closer to the center of the earth than measurements at the surface ? from the basic drawings i have seen is it even possible to measure the strength of the field and any possible unknowns due to really dense regions at these depths ? if it is do i get a Nobel prize ? will i be the first electrician to get it ?

Once, it was held that it was harmful to the brain to travel faster then.. what was it, 40mph? Then, it was impossible to surpass the speed of sound…

if neutrinos can travel through almost every substance, then what’s there to say all these neutrinos measured are 100% all the same ones?
could neutrinos work like water in a pipe, push it from one end quick enough and it comes out the other end faster?

I that time travel is 100% possible, I travel through time at 1second per second and have not figured a way to do it any slower or faster yet.

@MamonMuch No not really. It’s called hadron collider. HAHAH US can’t do anything right haha, CERN in Geneve has been a project for the last 45 years, they are slow in Europe and needed funding from several countries including the US government who helped with approximetly $531milj for the construction of LHC. And when it went into operation it still malfunctioned and needed repair for several months. So please stop trash talking!! I had a simply question and you turned into a hate USA theme.

Time is a human construct that measures the speed of matter think of it this way if time around u were speed up but u stayed the same It would appear as if everyone and everything around you was moving faster than normal because the are. Time travel is possible because time is a measurement

@a09as They did the tests 15,000 times over. The results were the same everytime.
