THE AWESOMELY AMAZING RACE – Poland Day 3

Ten American YouTubers in Poland competed in the Urban Challenge, a scavenger hunt which took us all over Warsaw. We weren’t allowed to take taxis or use Google Maps, but could ask locals for help and take local buses or trolleys. I was teamed up with Dan Dobi, who shot most of this video. @Docentino Well done, you know some history. Now back to present times… What I’ve said is sadly true, based on my experience, not statistics. Because it’s true, I don’t consider it as “bad-mouthing”. Polish nation needs to stop criticise others and stop being overproud as we are anything but respected in the world. We won’t change it by defending our phobias and by making excuses. We can do it by simply being nice to others and each other. Because we need to learn that as well.

Our strong Independence Instinct, Our never-ending Struggle for Freedom and sovereignty, Our Cultural heritage: Kochanowski, Prus, Szopen, Milosz..etc. Our Scientific heritage: Maria Curie-Sklodowska.
Our WII input: polish Partisans who broke The Enigma code, The the Partisans who captured a V2 rocket, polish Pilots who scored the most hits in the Battle of Britain.

French are always cowards, Americans stupid and fat, British ugly and lazy, Germans evil and extra ugly, Russian worst enemy, every Arab is a terrorist, Romanians are all Gypsies – I read comments like that every day. Now, the quality of living is appaling, corruption is sky-high, high income disparity and almost no middle class. Railways and roads (not to mentrion motorways) is a joke. Also, i have been to both Amsterdam and Venezia (and many other beautiful european capital cities) and IMO Warsaw, Cracow, Gdansk, Poznan still hold their own as Poland has an extraordinary charm, that those countries don’t have .. a Charm that you obviously don’t get.
