    I’m still new to video blogging, I only started a few weeks ago, and the most time I ever spent on one video was almost an hour (not in one sitting). Having set my expectations low since I’m still new, I thought it came out pretty good. I do hope to surpass that satisfaction level though. There will always be someone somewhere out there who enjoys the same things/formats that you do. So if you make things the way you like, they will like it as well.
    Vlogging is tedious, but addicting.

    @darksunandthecomet1 Those are all good points. I’ve mentioned a lot of what I like to put into travel vids in previous posts on the blog and in the podcast before. I might make a Top Five Tips and Tricks video next year.

    some points that are important for a good video to me are:
    a) avoid shaking – that really puts me off
    b) don’t underestimate the sound – noone likes listening to the wind blowing into the microphone
    c) the more cuts, the better it is – with our attention span rapidly decreasing, we may switch during a lengthy part where nothing is really happening

    Steve, we’d love to hear the detailed tricks from you!!!!

    @MrJingjong ;-) Hope I played a small part in your adiction… wait…… is that a good thing?

    You’re right, the host plays a huge part making a show work.If one is going to host a show, you’ve got to have that captivating personality that transcends the location.

    When I watch travel videos, whether they be on TV or online, the location often takes a backseat to the presenter. I can watch a hundred videos on Korea, but you’re more likely to connect to the content when you identify and connect with the person you’re seeing it through. Watching culture vlogs in Japan and Korea are what got me into YouTube in the first place. Now look at me, hopelessly addicted… Thanks, Steve.
